Our goal at Stroud's is to bring you a home - cooked meal that will remind you of the Sunday dinners at Grandma's house.
In 1933 Helen Stroud began inviting the public to her Kansas City Home to enjoy her traditional Southern fried - chicken dinner. Over 70 years later, the nationally recognized Stroud's Restaurant & Bar continues to please more than a half million people each year with Mrs. Stroud's original recipes.
In 1977, Mike and Dennis Donegan and Jim Hogan took over for Mrs. Stroud, and since then the homestyle tradition she started has grown to three locations. In 1993, the Wichita Wine Barn was selected as the first landmark location for a Stroud's Restaurant outside the Kansas City area. Rustic charm and family atmosphere at the Stroud's at the Wine Barn already is becoming a legend in its own right.
Our goal is to bring you fine food and drinks in a fun - filled atmosphere. Thank you for dining with us and helping keep alive the tradition started so many years ago by Mrs. Stroud.
